The Grand Canyon West Skywalk
Grand Canyon West is a section of the Grand Canyon that is near the start of Lake Mead. It is a easy drive from Las Vegas Nevada, and has bus tours to the Hualapai Indian Reservaion. The main problem is that most people do not realize that you should make a reservation for the shuttle bus a week or two in advance. The shuttle bus will save your vehicle any problems as there is a unpaved dirt road. The only vehicles that should attempt the road should have higher ground clearance than a regular car. I have been to the Grand Canyone many times and have always seen cars being towed, and car parts left on the dirt road at least once a week. It would be nice for people to know to make the reservations. There is also separate fees for the skywalk and being on the reservation. You should check the costs also. Dolan Springs is along the way and you will be driving through the largest Joshua Tree Forest in the world. We sometimes get snow at winter time. |
