Wild Horses can be seen on Highway 93 between Dolan Springs and Kingman
Wild Horses Graze Between the Towns of Kingman And Dolan Springs on Highway 93 My sources for this information is I live in the area. The one thing I love about traveling to Kingman, Arizona is the trip back home to Dolan Springs. I look to my right especially around the turnoff for Chloride, Arizona and try to see any wild horses. Many times the only things to look at is desert countryside and cows. Yet most of the time there are horses grazing with some of the cattle. The Cerbat Mountains that lay between Chloride and Dolan Springs have springs of fresh water. Many years ago I read a wildlife report of the Bureau of Land Management in the area and there was over 167 wild horses in the mountain range. The best time to see the wild horses is during winter time. The horses move up to the higher land in the mountains when it is hot and down to the lower land when it is cold. |
